We have three secure storage compounds in northwestern Ontario. If you’ve been involved in a collision, you can decide which compound you would like your vehicle/equipment stored at until your insurance process is initiated. If you do not provide a location, it will be brought to the nearest storage facility:

TSSEA Regulations and Maximum Rate Schedule

Tow operators and tow truck drivers must follow the requirements of the Towing and Storage Safety and Enforcement

Act, 2021. This Act sets out responsibilities for the operation of a tow truck, conduct toward the public and at the scene of an accident, and the rates that can be charged for towing a motor vehicle. The act also sets out the rights you have when requesting and receiving towing services.

You have the right to:

i. Decide who can tow your vehicle, and where your vehicle will be towed to

ii. Receive and review the consent form and maximum rate sheet before towing begins; do not sign a blank form

iii. Receive an unaltered copy of your signed Consent Form

iv. Receive an itemized invoice before paying and a receipt when you pay

v. Choose your payment method

vi. Contact the Ministry of Transportation if you have any concerns about the towing services you received or the conduct of the tow driver/operator

Tow truck drivers and operators must:

i. Notify you if your vehicle is taken to a location that is different from the location you identified

ii. Not charge more than the rates published on the Government of Ontarios website on the Towing and Storage Safety and Enforcement Act, 2021

iii. Accept multiple forms of payment

iv. Not solicit you to consent to other services, including vehicle storage

v. Not refer you to any medical or legal services and can only refer to other towing, storage, or vehicle repair at your request

vi. Disclose any interest they have or benefit they may receive from a referral at the time of the referral

vii. Tow Drivers and Tow Operators must be identified by name and certificate number on the consent to tow form and on the tow truck. Make sure the tow operator's name and certificate number on the tow truck match the documentation

viii. Tow truck drivers and tow operators are subject to a Code of Conduct. See the Government of Ontario's website on the Towing and Storage Safety and Enforcement Act, 2021

By Signing this waiver

1. You are confirming that you have read and understood your rights stated in the Towing and Storage Safety and Enforcement Act.

2. You are authorizing your vehicle to be towed by GARY’S, A DIVISION OF GN TOWING INC.

3. You have been given a copy of Gary’s, a division of GN Towing Inc., business card with a phone number, address, and contact name for the company

4. You have been provided access to the "Towing Rate Sheet" and are aware of the rates being charged for today’s incident

5. You understand that you are responsible for paying for any outstanding balance remaining unpaid by your insurance company for towing/recovery services
